On March 16th, Jones rode on top of a Battle Bus over the Island. His superior on his earpiece, known as Doctor Slone, ordered him to save himself and not go to The Seven after swearing an oath, but Jones continued to ignore her. He believed The Seven were the thing that would rescue reality, as long as he was able to work with them. A reality wave was shot out from The Zero Point, causing Jones to lose The Rift Device he used to enter and exit The Loop. As of losing it, he dived toward and caught it, not before falling into a bush, taking 99 fall damage. On his comm, Doctor Slone spoke to him again, ordering him not to go to The Seven.
Jones ripped off his ear piece and threw it on the ground, crushing it. After crushing his earpiece, he made his way across the battlefield toward the The Zero Point, evading several players and hunters along the way. After reaching the Zero Point, he set the Looper to a certain reality and threw it in the Zero Point. After a few seconds, a meteor from another reality appeared in the sky and crashed into the sand, and a piece of it crumbled away to reveal a pod holding The Foundation, leader of The Seven.
The Foundation was fast to attack Jones, but he retaliated with saying he get him to Genö, and a group called "the sisters". He asked what they had done to The Zero Point, before Jones mentioned The Devourer Of Worlds Event, referring to it as an "incident." The Foundation yelled that with the high level of entanglement, he wasn't sure he could fix it. Jones yelled that he was implying giving up, before The Foundation reported, "who said anything about giving up?" As the containment began, portals began to appear over the Island which gave Jones action to seal them.
He then warned the player about Reality Waves, a side effect of The Zero Point collapsing. After, a Reality Wave transformed him into The Butterfly, a character of The Butterfly Event, as well as the Looper into Raz, a being from another reality. Jones said this would complicate things, but allowed the Looper to help him do the job to fix the portals with the device. Although the other portals were a far distance away, Jones was able to accidentally teleport the Looper to the nearest rift. He continued to do this until all rifts were sealed, although the reality waves kept transforming the Looper into other beings like a chicken called Cluck, and a woman named Lara Craft, before turning back to themsleles.
But, earlier the Foundation mentioned that after The Zero Point started to bloom, there was no going back. The Zero Point was almost fully bloomed, with large pink-and-magenta petals emerging from the surface. The Foundation continued to hold back the Zero Point, before Jones remarked that he couldn't do this alone. Jones then teleported the player to the base of The Spire, a towering structure with it housing the destabilizing Zero Point at the top. The player began to be pulled upward from a gust of wind that was created by the creation of The Spire. After reaching the top, Jones turned back to normal, but a blast from the Zero Point caused the Looper to fall back and hold a steady position in the air, listening to the conversation between The Foundation and Jones.
The Foundation states that to stabilize The Zero Point, he must overload the device, but trapping them in The Loop as an after effect. He says they'll have to fight their ways out, and he will find him, and Jones must tell him everything. Jones gives him his word before overloading the device and tossing it into the Zero Point again, allowing a temporary chance to contain the blast.
The Spire covered the Zero point in stone, trapping the Foundation in the Zero Point. I'm expecting a large portion of the map to be re-done, considering 90% of it got dogged on. I really do think this season has a lot of potential as long as they don't mess with the loot pool, and instead add things to it. Like bringing more movement based things into the game along with a wider variety of guns. As for extending the loot pool they better not take pumps out, and instead add to the selection of weapons rather then take them out.
I just hope they don't drastically mess with the way looting has been put in place or mess with vaulting really anything right now. Another great thing that Aussie touched on would be adding a reward system for arena. A personal recommendation of mine is to add an arena style pickaxe for those who are top 100 on the arena leaderboard.
Although this deals more with the players higher up on the leaderboard I feel as though it can add a sense of accomplishment to those who do take the time to grind all the way to the top. That pretty much wraps up my rant, but I do hope epic takes this season into consideration and makes it one of the best seasons we've seen in all of CH2 or just one of the best ever. As all the heroes began to awaken and regain their memories and powers, they began planning for battle.
Vindertech asked Tony Stark to upgrade their Battle Bus, in additional preparation for Galactus. Tony Stark took it into his garage and set his engineering robots on upgrading it, giving it a jet propulsion engine among other upgrades. At the same time, several more Marvel characters began to reach the Island. The only thing left was to wait for Galactus to arrive, as the view of him grew in the sky like a comet about to strike the Island. Eventually, he made it to the island, and began to observe it. On 21st November the countdown officially started with 10 days to go.
Doctor Doom, a Marvel character, with the bit of memory and power he had, was able to take over Pleasant Park and turn it into his own home, which he called Doom's Domain. Jennifer Walters was able to find a place for her on the island. In Retail Row, a law offices building was made for her as a lawyer. Tony Stark also found a place for himself, as he created a farm to keep track of his work and his memories.
He began to create strange beacons in a circle of the northeast quandrant of the island. Wolverine, after taking down several large Sentinels sent by Galactus, hid in Weeping Woods. The flying helicarrier, called Helicarrier 64, was set as a watching point for all of the Island. Patrol sites were set up to drop Quinjets off to keep watch of the island with Stark Robots. As all the excitement of these superheroes went on, it seemed to appear as if the battle between GHOST and SHADOW have finally began to come to a close. Not only have most of the people from both groups go missing in action, but all the locations were being abandoned, or packed up.
As The Fortilla was left to be lost in the water, any other building that was owned by SHADOW was beginning to pack up. In much of another reality, (known as Earth-616) Thor, god of thunder, lived in Asgard, his home, as king. But not long as the new king, Galactus, Devourer of Worlds, appeared needing aid to defeat a deadly force. Thor, with the goal of protecting his home, helped Galactus in searching out five planets that would give Galactus the power to fight back this force threatening their reality. In return, Galactus would give Thor cosmic power that would make him much stronger than ever.
In the search, the two encounter a Rift caused from the collapse of The Zero Point. Galactus, sensing the infinite power through the Rift goes for it seeking the power. Thor then decides to go against Galactus by heading into the Rift and warning whoever was past it. He searched for life that he could warn, while he could feel some power trying to control him. He eventually did find people, but they didn't want to listen. While Thor tried to convince them, he began to lose his memory as well as his hammer, which was dropped somewhere on the island.
The sight of Galactus soon arriving gave him enough time to warn Sif, a guardian of the Bifrost of Asgard. Sif, using the power of the Bifrost, brought Marvel characters to the island to aid Thor. It flew into a Rift and returned again from Greasy Grove, flying to Lonely Lodge. The Rockets together created a very large Rift below the Meteor just before it started moving again. Instead of crashing back into Dusty Divot, it went through the Rift. The first Rocket returned again, pointing lasers at The Zero Point in Loot Lake.
The Rocket collided with the Nexus, creating a giant shockwave. The meteor returned in the same Rift above Loot Lake with the other six Rockets. The explosion created a black hole, which sucked the whole island inside of it. This created a two day downtime where the game was unplayable. Numbers appeared around the black hole which were discovered to coincide with words from the tapes to spell out a message that read "I was not alone. There are others outside the Loop. The nothing is now inevitable." But before the official launch of chapter 3 season 1, the trailer for the next era Epics – a big release of the free-to-play version of a single axe has leaked on the web revealing new skins, game mechanics and characters coming soon.
Before the woman on the phone could inform him to not draw any attention of The Seven, Jones has already left. As all the IO Guards rush through the area, he enters a room which is presumably the same room which once contained The Device, now repurposed. In the room, he creates a signal to track the hunters across all realities and finds 7 signals. The Zero Point is sent into a giant hole at the center of the room, created by the Zero Point being pulled from The Gateway by Galactus.
The Zero Point pulls Jones into the hole and falls into the Zero Point, now hovering high above the island. With his goal to find the hunters, he returns with the Mandalorian, Reese, Mancake, Mave, Kondor, Lexa and Menace. These hunters are given the task to cause chaos throughout the Island, capture several bounties, and keep anyone from escaping the Loop. While these hunters do this, the Imagined Order plan their next actions. After The Zero Point was exposed, it altered the center of the Island into a sandy area filled with large, strange crystals with very odd effects.
The Marvel heroes have already left this reality, returning to theirs unknowing of what remains they had left. Salty Springs was altered into Salty Towers and Frenzy Farm was altered into a Colossal Coliseum. As well as this, multiple objects from the original Island had begun to appear in the same locations they would be on this reorganized Island. At the same time, the organization only known as the Imagined Order has begun to appear very often. First, they built a Stealthy Stronghold on the north of the Island, which appeared to be a large fortress housing a jungle, with the goal of holding someone inside. Also built Hunter's Haven, the location which all the hunters stay and have temporary dorms as they remain in this reality.
The Crack in the sky started spitting out lightning in the desert as it slowly shrank and turned purple, on a silent hill of cacti. The Crack consistently shot lightning at each individual cacti on the hill, the last bolt of lightning eventually creating a CUBE, causing The Crack to vanish from the sky. The CUBE, a strange purple object illuminated with runes and shot lightning when threatened, started rolling around the map. On its path, it crushed a hut near Fatal Fields and creating seven runes in the ground across the map, causing low gravity zones.
It also damaged a new building in Tilted Towers, one that replaced the old one destroyed by a meteor. On September 19th, The CUBE eventually rolled into the Loot Lake, dissolving and making the water bouncy, remaining for multiple days. The trailer reveals massive changes coming to the game, including a completely revised map, new locations, new skins, a racecourse, a giant statue of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character The Foundation, and at least two major collabs.
A cinematic trailer for the new season, called Chapter 2, played before players were able to jump from the familiar battle bus into 13 new locations. Developers have also added fishing, swimming, boats, and pogo sticks. Fortnite fans are counting down to the start of Chapter 3, Season 1.
However, before Fortnite users can get stuck into a brand new season of content, Epic Games will hold an end of season event on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android. Titled 'The End', the event has a December 4 release date and a 9pm GMT start time. Because this is a one-time only experience, players have been warned to login 30 minutes before the start of the event (8.30pm UK time), or risk missing out. Leave it any later, and there's a chance you won't be able to login due to overloaded servers.
Speaking of servers, the game is expected to go offline for extended maintenance immediately after the event, similar to the transition between Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. This sever maintenance period is expected to last until Monday, although this is yet to be confirmed. Oh, and if you need any extra V-Bucks for the next season's Battle Pass, check out the link below. Chapter 2's concluding event took things another step forward, and now we'll have to wait and see what Epic has in store for Chapter 3. @FortniteGame Why don't you make weather and seasonal patterns for the new chapter and for creative mode.
Maybe this could be a brand new feature for the new Battle Royale and STW game modes and chapters after chapter 2 officially ends. I hope you all consider this aspect of the game for future content and for the environment that's in the game too. It could raise the game and the definitely bring back the old players and get new players in the process. On December 1st the countdown finished and Galactus rose up, getting as close to the Island as possible. He was massive, with only his hand covering the entire island.
After coming face to face with the players, who were watching from the helicarrier placed above The Ruins, he states Beware, I hunger. He then smacks the helicarrier out of the sky causing it to crash into the water. The players on the helicarrier are flung into the air and begin falling. Luckily Iron Man arrives having beaten back the influence of the Loop begins talking.
Everyone is given a Jetpack and Iron Man informs everyone that he needs their help. Galactus extends his huge arm over the island, shooting red laser beams from his fingers to The Ruins where he pulls out The Zero Point. He begins absorbing it but it fights back and Iron Man utilizes it to transport everyone to the Inbetween. Everyone is transported in the Inbetween, where Iron Man has created an incredible amount of Battle Buses by using the Loop. He upgraded them and filled them all with gamma cells to act as very powerful bombs.
He says the objective is to fly the Battle Buses into Galactus' mouth before he consumes The Zero Point. Galactus summons several Gorger attack drones to stop Iron Man, however Iron Man has given all the Battle Buses laser cannons to fight. All the buses fly towards Galactus while shooting down all the drones as Galactus absorbs The Zero Point. As The Zero Point begins to weaken, revealing the planets around them, one Battle Bus honks at Galactus to get his attention. Galactus spots the player and begins swatting at them but with Thor and Wolverine's help, all the Battle Buses make it to Galactus' head.
Galactus takes the bait, attempting to consume all the Battle Buses. They explode, weakening Galactus, and then creating a Rift which pulls him back to his reality. Agent Jones was on his office floor while alarms blared and the building seems to be collapsing.
Millions of players and fans watched the event live on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter. Hours after the game had gone down, over 50,000 people were still actively watching the game's live stream of the black hole on YouTube; another 100,000 were watching on Twitch, according to CNN. Battle Royale became a cultural phenomenon, and is considered one of the most influential films in recent decades, having been highly influential in global popular culture.
